Industrial hemp production in Tennessee

The economy of East Tennessee is an attractive one due to the abundance of available land and the ease of transportation. The capital Nashville is just three hours away on a small lake, which connects it to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Appalachian Mountains. This makes it an ideal location for anyone who wants to relocate, especially those who are relocating to another state. They can find a home in this prosperous region with only a short drive to the major metropolitan centers of Memphis, Atlanta and Oxford, Tennessee.

The abundance of natural resources and the related low unemployment rate to attract a large number of residents every year to East Tennessee. In fact, in this one area alone, there are three major industries which contribute heavily to the state's economy. These industries include chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, energy and transportation. These three industries employ thousands of people in the Nashville area alone. But the area is also home to numerous small-scale businesses, as well, that contribute significantly to the local economy.

One of the most lucrative industries in the area is agriculture. If you want to grow crops that have high productivity, you should consider growing hemp. There are many reasons why this is the case. For one thing, hemp has proven over time to be much more efficient than other plants and crops when it comes to growing weight-to-area ratio.

By growing hemp alongside crops which are grown in other countries such as Canada, the United States and Germany, farmers can ensure that they will be getting the highest quality products at the lowest prices. By growing crops which are grown elsewhere, farmers risk having their food imports come at a much higher price and by having their products imported, the competition among local producers would be greatly reduced. In addition, because hemp is grown in the USA and because it is one of the world's largest exporters of fiber, there are substantial profits to be made.

Another reason to grow hemp is that this plant is one of the fastest growing industries in the world today. The use of this plant for various industrial purposes has been around for quite some time now and it only seems to be growing more popular in each passing year. The list of industries that utilize this plant go on from paper to paint to insulation to fuel to textiles and yet, many people still do not fully understand the importance of this plant to the economy in the eastern part of the United States.

Many argue that the benefits of hemp production are limited to the product of the plant itself. However, these people are ignoring the fact that this plant itself is also used to create all kinds of other products. Some examples of these products are paper, textile materials, pigments, adhesives, medicines and even plastic. Because of this wide variety of products which can be created from hemp, the industry of hemp farming is now booming in the US. This fact makes the argument of limited hemp production somewhat irrelevant when debating the benefits of hemp to the economy.

When people talk about hemp, they generally bring up the question of whether or not it can be grown indoors. A lot of people have started trying to grow their own hemp in their homes, especially in areas where it is allowed by the government. In Trousdale, Tennessee there are people who have been able to grow and cultivate hemp to the point that they are now producing their own paper. Others are growing hemp to make t-shirts and other apparel that people wear all over the country. These individuals and companies are only limited by their own imagination when they can conjure up the idea of what their business hemp would look like.

In a recent interview on C-SPAN, a hemp producer in the southern part of the country named Brian Shilhavy was asked if he thought that hemp production could someday equal the world's production of cotton. His answer is an obvious one, because he believes that it can. When the hemp is grown in areas where there is an abundance of sunlight, the plants will grow very well. When they get to be two feet tall, then they can be harvested. No more harmful chemicals are used on the hemp, so this means that these farmers are helping the environment, while at the same time making some extra money themselves.
